An accomplished motivational and keynote speaker, Sherry Maysonave is the author of the nonfiction category best-seller, Casual Power, the award-winning children’s book, EggMania, and most recently the inspirational novel, The Girl Who Could Read Hearts. Sherry has made multiple appearances on NBC’s TODAY, Fox News, ABC, CBS, NPR and numerous other AM and FM talk shows, and has been interviewed by Associated Press, Reuters, USA Today, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, In-Style magazine, The New Yorker, and BusinessWeek.
With a B.S. in Education, Sherry began her career teaching fifth and third grades. In 1998, Sherry founded Empowerment Enterprises, one of America’s leading communication-image firms. Yet Sherry remains passionate about children, enabling them to develop a positive self-esteem and to achieve higher levels of success at school and in all facets of their lives.
A native Houstonian, Denise Caliva was intrigued with fine art even as a child. She studied art in college, earning her B.S. degree in Art Education, and began her career teaching art in a K thru 6th Magnet Arts program. Denise established Caliva Arts and has a wealth of experience in design as a graphic artist, a commercial and residential interior designer, a finishing artist and muralist, a book illustrator, and as a gallery owner. A highly-esteemed and renowned artist, Denise has painted commissioned artwork for corporations and individuals throughout her career. A master of color and design, Denise brings life and passion to all her endeavors.
Stephen Maysonave has more than 35 years of high tech experience, including 25 years in international business development. He served for seven years as Chairman & CEO of Relativity Technologies before it was acquired in 2008.
Executive Producer of ManiaTales. Stephen serves as Managing Partner of Empowerment Productions LLC and Empowerment Enterprises. He is the principal of Maysonave International LLC, a consultancy group specializing in international business expansion focused on Asia-Pacific. For the past 20 years, Maysonave has been an active investor in early-stage software companies. Global corporations retain Maysonave to assist them in the execution of their business, technology, and investment strategies. Companies that have retained Maysonave include 6fusion, Citrix, Novell, Sony, TechMatrix (Japan), Venafi and the Japanese trading company, Sojitz Corporation.
Previously, Mr. Maysonave was Vice President, Global Partners, Informix Software, a worldwide supplier of database solutions. Additional experience includes seven years at Intel where he served as Director of Sales for Commercial Systems and as Business & Strategic Planning Manager. Maysonave also served as SVP, GM, and Corporate Officer at Digital Research, Inc. where he was responsible for worldwide marketing and field operations, including the European Development Center and subsidiaries in Europe and Japan.
